Visa and MasterCard
Thousands of Lawn and Garden Dealers Association members have found a savings and peace of mind with the security and advocacy of the Lawn and Garden Dealers Association. You have probably heard by now about Visa and MasterCard Interchange rates; but, like most, not quite fully understanding how the discount rates and other fees add up. You think of Interchange as a small fee paid by the merchant’s bank (also known as the acquiring bank) to the issuing bank (the cardholder’s bank).
LGDA has found that Interchange must be examined in the context of the need to balance the higher costs of card issuance with the benefits to merchants of card acceptance, so that cardholders, merchants, and financial institutions all continue to benefit from today’s strong, competitive, payments landscape. Our Interchange platform allows members to enjoy rates as low as 2.08 for MOTO and 1.68 for Swipe, and depending upon the volume and the amount of average ticket price a .10 cent transaction is available.
However, since interchange is set to maximize network volume, it cannot be examined in isolation. LGDA and processing Specialist, C.Scott Baker, has reported new group rates are now available and specifically designed to infuse more money into the Industry. Most of the time we have found that the 30-minute salesman does not have the critical inside knowledge necessary to properly evaluate rate platforms and or divulge all the rates he or she may be offering the location. We provide each member with our 25 years of experience, education, and analysis, with all fees disclosed.
Websites, Web Stores and Financial Software Options
The Lawn and Garden Dealers Association has partnered with Equipment Web Services and Intelligenz Corporation to provide a team of specialists to members that are Equipment Dealers, Manufactures, Distributors, as well as smaller service providers and back office support centers; all members are viable facets within the Lawn and Garden Industry. LGDA affiliates have an internal interest in the success of the industry and have shared vision and goals for 2007. LGDA has grown to acquire partners who create and design software, web-stores and web sites specifically for the industry. Are you using the latest RFID solutions?
LGDA has found that the Internet and viable software continues to become an increasingly integral part of the equipment and Green industry. In fact, 99.7% of online equipment consumers research and/or purchase equipment on the Internet. Having an online presence provides an enormous opportunity for your business; however, it must be implemented correctly. Anyone can build you a website, set up a merchant account, and provide enterprise resource planning software solutions; but in order to maximize your sales and ROI, you must use the right providers.
LGDA and lead C. Scott Baker will help you leverage your website, web store, ERP software, and POS, with a team of market specialists.
